In an effort to promote green transportation and healthy living, the Freewheelin' Bike Sharing Program will be in town for the Democratic National Convention in August. 1,000 bikes will be offered at free, solar-powered stations around the city for anyone to check-out to run errands, glide around the city or get some exercise. You can register to use a bike and check your mileage, carbon off-set and health information - Then just return the bike to any station for someone else to use.Freewheelin' Bikes Come to Denver

JK: Thanks for the post on freewheelin . . . have been watching and enjoying your blog for some time. Would love to have you come and experience freewheelin personally during the convention; let me know if you're interested. Perhaps we could arrange a ride for you and your readers?
Greg Matthews,

Sounds great Greg! Send me some details an we can figure something out - When do you arrive for the Convention?
So sorry this post took so long. I will be getting to Denver on Sunday to start setting up for the conventions on Monday. We have a bunch of scheduled rides throughout the week, or if you wanted to lead one yourself, that would be great too.
If you end up coming by, drop me an email (freewheelinbiker@gmail.com) - I'd love to give you a tour of the operation. You can see the scheduled rides and bike station maps at www.freewheelinwaytogo.com.
